Framed in the 1940s for the murder of his wife and her lover, upstanding banker Andy Dufresne begins a brand new life at the Shawshank prison, by which he places his accounting skills to work for an amoral warden. Throughout his very long stretch in prison, Dufresne arrives to be admired by the other inmates -- including the prisoner due to his integrity and unquenchable feeling of hope.
